Meet the Taoist Association of New York and discover Taoist philosophy\, cultural traditions\, and the relevance of Taoist wisdom to modern life. \nTaoist Culture Event NYC: Taoist Wisdom & Cultural Sharing\nIn a fast-paced city like New York\, can we still find a sense of inner peace and balance? \nThe Taoist Association of New York warmly invites you to “Taoist Culture Event NYC: Taoist Wisdom & Cultural Sharing\,” an opportunity to learn more about Taoism—an ancient tradition of philosophy\, spirituality\, and cultural practice that has developed over thousands of years. \nFor the first time\, this event will introduce the Taoist Association of New York to the public\, sharing the ideas behind its establishment\, its cultural mission\, and its future direction. Participants will also be invited to explore the beliefs\, philosophy\, and practices that shape Taoist culture. \nFrom the meaning of “Dao” (the Way) to Taoist perspectives on the relationship between humanity and nature; from Zhengyi (Orthodox Unity) and Quanzhen (Complete Reality) traditions to regional Taoist ritual lineages\, the event will introduce participants to the diverse and multifaceted world of Taoism. \nSpecial Cultural Experience\nHand-Drawn Taoist Peace Talismans\nAs part of the event\, the Association will prepare 80 hand-drawn Taoist peace talismans\, created in accordance with traditional Taoist cultural and talismanic practices. \nThose who wish to receive one may make a voluntary offering at the event and respectfully request a talisman as a traditional blessing for peace and wellbeing for themselves or their families. \nLimited to 80 talismans. Available on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nWhat to Expect\n✨ Meet the Taoist Association of New York\nLearn about the Association’s founding vision\, cultural mission\, and future religious\, cultural\, and community programs in New York. \n✨ Explore Taoist Wisdom\nDiscover how concepts such as “Dao follows nature\,” “stillness and non-forcing\,” and “moving with the natural course of things” can offer perspectives on modern stress\, anxiety\, and everyday challenges. \n✨ Discover Taoist Traditions and Lineages\nLearn about the history and distinctive characteristics of Zhengyi (Orthodox Unity)\, Quanzhen (Complete Reality)\, and regional Taoist ritual traditions\, and explore the cultural meanings found within different lineages. \n✨ Explore Taoist Talismanic Culture\nA Taoist talisman is more than an image on a piece of paper.
